Chantepierre is ideally located in the heart of Périgord so you may enjoy your extended stay fully: 80% of the major sites are less than 30 minutes drive away from the house : (Sarlat, Beynac, la Roque Gageac, Domme, les Eyzies, Lascaux, the Gardens of Eyrignac, the Dordogne and Vèzère Valleys…) and less than 50 minutes from: Rocamadour, Padirac, the vineyards of Bergerac and Cahors, Périgueux, Collonges… Don’t forget : Périgord has an exceptionally concentrated number of sites to visit for such a small region : You can not drive more than 3-4 km without finding a castle or breath taking view.
Spending several weeks on peaceful and quiet at Chantepierre will leave you plenty of time for trips and excursions (canoeing on the rivers, rambles or bike rides), visiting the vast array of sites and enjoying the many gastronomic delights.
