The Chantepierre bed-sits are ideally situated in the heart of Dark Périgord for an extended stay and for visiting the region : 80% of the major sites are less than 30 minutes by car from the house : (Sarlat, Beynac, la Roque Gageac, Domme, les Eyzies, Lascaux, the Gardens of Eyrignac, the Dordogne and Vèzère Valleys…) and less than 50 minutes from: Rocamadour, Padirac, the vineyards of Bergerac and Cahors, Périgueux, Collonges… Don’t forget : Périgord has an exceptionally concentrated number of sites to visit for such a small region : You can’t drive 3-4 km without stumbling across beautiful views, magnificent houses, chapels or castles. Spending several weeks in peace and quiet at Chantepierre will leave you plenty of time for trips and excursions (canoeing on the rivers, rambles or bike rides), visiting the vast array of sites and enjoying the many gastronomic delights.
